Looks through the apps installed on your phone, finds the ones that can be prepared ahead, and gets them ready for their next launch. The name has “AI” in it, but it isn’t a chat AI. It remembers which apps on this phone get ready quickly and reliably, and uses that to adjust the order next time.
What it does
Starting an optimization
It starts when you tap the optimize button. No sign-up or login is needed. The basic optimization needs no extra permission. You can also start it from a Quick Settings tile in the notification shade.
Learning the order
It remembers the results and adjusts which apps to prepare first next time. All of this learning happens on the phone.
Using recent usage patterns (optional)
Turn this on in Settings and the order also considers the apps you opened most in the last 7 days and the times you usually use them. This needs usage access, which you grant yourself.
Result screen
Shows how many apps were checked, how many were prepared, and how long it took.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t just move numbers around by clearing memory or caches.
- It doesn’t close the app you were using.
- It doesn’t force-close other apps or delete data.
- Apps that don’t offer a safe way for other apps to connect are left alone, not woken up.
Good to know
- The ready state lasts about 1 to 2 minutes.
- The difference you notice depends on how each app is built and on the phone’s state.
- If it looks like too much load for the phone, some apps are left for the next run.
- With notifications on, if you haven’t opened Upkestra AI that day, you get one optimization reminder after 9 PM. You may also get notices about updates and occasional offers. You can turn notifications off anytime in Settings.
Permissions and data
- The app list, usage patterns and learned order used for optimization are processed only on the phone.
- Even with usage patterns on, the raw usage history isn’t saved. Only computed values and learning results stay on the phone.
- This information isn’t sent anywhere and isn’t used for ads.
- Turning usage patterns off also deletes the related learning results.
- Firebase may process stats to check the app works properly, and Google AdMob may process ad display.
